English for Academic Purposes Level 3 (Extended) aims to help students acquire relevant academic English language skills in preparation for Australian tertiary education in the English language at JCU. This module is academic oriented and covers four main areas, reading, writing, listening and oral communication. Students will acquire theoretical and practical English linguistic knowledge and skills, relevant for work and tertiary education. On successful completion of EAP Level 3 (Extended), students will fulfil the English requirements to enter selected degree and masters programs at JCU that require level 6.0 level IELTS equivalence. This extended version of Level 3, enables students with slightly lower English entry levels to start Level 3 and progress quickly to their tertiary studies.
