The sequel to IT2201, this subject aims to bring students to a point where they can communicate in and understand Italian at an intermediate level. It completes the revision of grammatical areas introduced in first year Italian and continues a focus on the reading and appreciation of appropriate texts.
Learning Outcomes
- a level of at least transactional proficiency (1+ on the ISLPR scale);
- to express in complete sentences thoughts and opinions on familiar topics, dreams and emotions;
- fluently to read and write simple continuous prose, and to begin to read complex texts, including literature;
- to become familiar with various aspects of Italian culture and literature, including a close knowledge of some significant texts.
Assumed Knowledge: | To undertake this subject, students must have successfully completed 12 credit points (four subjects) of level 1 study at tertiary level |
