This subject explores the issues that impact on the provision of nursing care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Students undertaking this subject will develop an understanding and awareness of the historical, social and cultural issues which influence the health of Indigenous people in Australia today. Students should develop the critical and reflective abilities to practice in a culturally safe manner.
