This subject examines major developments in world history since the beginning of the 20th century. While giving due consideration to political and economic issues, it also explores the immense social and cultural transformations that have characterised this period.
Learning Outcomes
- to develop skills in historical writing and research;
- to introduce students to some of the theories, methodologies and preoccupations of historians today;
- to provide students with an historical perspective on the important events and changes of the 20th and 21st centuries.
