The subject focuses on understanding curriculum, including translational curricula and the influences shaping of curriculum within schools and school systems. Teachers, principals and curriculum coordinators will examine the influences on curriculum and their roles in curriculum construction, implementation and review through a study of relevant literature, education system requirements and their own professional practices. Various conceptualisations of curriculum will be explored alongside practices associated with its implementation and review such as teachers as co-constructors of curriculum, curriculum reform, design, development and implementation, the role of assessment in curriculum, and stakeholders of curriculum.
