Students must enrol in ED4090 or ED4190 or ED4293 in the same study period as ED4488. Subject available only to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) at JCU Singapore and who complete professional experience in non-Australian schools.

This subject is part of the developmental curriculum for professional experience within the Bachelor of Education program. In schools and prior to school settings relevant to their specialist sector (Early Childhood, Primary or Secondary) students will complete four (4) allocated weeks (20 days) of professional experience. For students enrolled in the BEd (Early Childhood Education), 10 days will be completed in a prior to school setting with children aged 3-5 years, and 10 days will be completed in a school with children aged over 5-8 years. All students will complete a range of activities to assure the Australian Professional Standards for Graduate Teachers and, for B.Ed (ECE students, relevant ACECQA standards. Students will also complete five (5) days of Professional Orientation, which will include professional development and seminars with education leaders and stakeholders.

Prerequisites:(ED3488 OR ED3489) AND ED4090 AND ALLOW CONCURRENT FOR ED4090(ED3488 or ED3489) and (ED4090 or ED4190 or ED4293) and allow concurrent for ED4090 and ED4190 and ED4293.

Special Assessment Requirements:In order to meet the requirements of this subject you must complete 20 days allocated professional experience and 5 days on campus professional orientation from 7 to 11 November 2016.
