The subject examines the nature and dynamics of creativity in organisations and firms, economies and societies. It discusses the role of the creator, creative thinking, the creative process, creative collaborations, idea development, creation and innovation models. Notions of creativity and case studies of acts of creation are discussed. Models of social, civic, aesthetic, economic, organisational, and techical imagination are explored. Value chains that begin with creation and that shape innovation and productivity are analysed. The roles of art and aesthetics, media and image, design and artifice in social, business and institutional creativity are explored.
Learning Outcomes

- explain central issues discussed in the creativity literature;
- critically examine creativity claims;
- critically analyse creativity problems and processes;
- understand how to initiate and design basic creative solutions.
