This subject allows students to pursue a particular aspect of discipline study in depth. Students will be required to submit a written proposal to the subject coordinator for consideration and approval prior to commencing their project. Approval of proposals will be subject to the availability of staffing and other resources.
Learning Outcomes
- appraise theories of creative arts practice and describe these verbally to others;
- create original artwork in one discipline area;
- examine the contemporary arts context relevant to their practice;
- plan and execute an arts based project individually or in collaboration with other students, institutions or organisations.

Assessment: | proposal and presentation (25%); project and project reflection (55%); seminar (20%). |
Special Assessment Requirements: | The assessment of the project which must comprise a number of different assessment items and methods is negotiated between the student and subject coordinator and forms part of a mutually agreed written proposal. |
