This subject provides opportunities for students to extend their use of digital or analog processes in the development of original artwork. Processes including painting, collage, illustration, drawing, digital image capture and digital manipulation may be used to create work. Students will be introduced to the process of contextualising their work within the field of contemporary visual arts and to articulate the conceptual basis of their work.
Learning Outcomes
- examine contemporary visual art practice in relation to the context of their work;
- create visual artwork informed by research into contemporary visual arts practice;
- test ideas through artworks;
- articulate the aims of their artwork in verbal and written forms.
