In this subject skills, knowledge and context for research in Media Design will be developed. Students will be provided with pathways to develop research relating to the extension and diversification of media design in the creative industries. Through student centred projects participants will focus on the application of media design principles to creative folio based work. This subject provides students with an engagement in the creative process including development, production and critical reflection. Through assessment projects students will create folio ready examples and accompanying documentation.
Learning Outcomes
- demonstrate an ability to work independently;
- demonstrate the creative process from concept development to production and presentation;
- demonstrate proficieny and aptitude in the use of a variety of media design equipment and technology;
- demonstrate production techniques utilised in creative media design practice;
- critically respond to their own and other creative media design works and create a folio of original artefacts through media design.
