This subject offers a practical overview of the process of cultural heritage planning and management. It introduces students to the notion of heritage values which are used (both nationally and internationally) to define and assess the cultural significance of heritage places. The subject also introduces students to a range of concepts surrounding the presentation of heritage places to the public. It will examine issues surrounding the role and nature of interpretation and the application of a range of media in relation to this.
