Students will be introduced to the two key theoretical areas of musical construction and design: theory and composition. These two areas, explored within sequenced modules, are underpinned by practicals wherein emerging industry technologies relevant to the disciplines are explored and applied.
Learning Outcomes
- knowledge of traditional and contemporary theoretical and compositional constructs;
- an ability to analyse and compose within the framework of a range of theoretical and compositional constructs.
