In this subject students learn to apply graphic and information design principles to the design and development of interactive media. Students are introduced to information architecture, flowcharting, navigation design, interaction design, usability and optimisation. Original interactive new media applications will be studied as exemplars of good practice. Creative-strategic design concepts will be examined in context of contemporary issues of culture and technologies. Students will develop and apply design skills towards the creation of an interactive media project.
