This subject is for students wishing to undertake research in microbiology and immunology. Available to suitably qualified graduates from any science based disciplines.

Learning Outcomes

• To learn the skills associated with running a research investigation;
• To be able to carry out a literature search and critically analyse and review the literature;
• To present research findings to a mixed audience;
• To use scientific methodology and train in a specific area of research;
• To develop competency to work in a generic research laboratory;
• To cultivate research aptitude and potential, enabling a student to make a choice as to whether they would be suited to undertake a higher research degree..
