Available to students who qualify for entry into the Journalism major in the Honours program in the Bachelor of Arts.
This subject provides a forum for advanced study of issues in contemporary journalism, with reference to national and international policy and practice and/or applied professional matters. The subject is offered as a series of modules, across which students work with all staff in the journalism program and with other appropriate specialists.
Learning Outcomes
- demonstrate graduate-level knowledge of headline issues in contemporary journalism;
- demonstrate advanced skills of research, analysis and presentation of argument;
- show an advanced understanding of the ethical and practical implications of contemporary journalism.
| Prerequisites: | Bachelor of Multimedia Journalism with GPA above 5 or equivalent qualification. |
