Student Contribution Band: Band 1
Administered by: College of Arts, Society & Education

Available to students enrolled in Health and Physical Education courses.

To equip future Physical Education teachers with the expertise and associated knowledge and skills to fulfil their official teaching and learning responsibilities, and provide innovative opportunities and experiences for their students, this subject intends to explore advanced teaching in health and physical education. ED4493 draws on the previous learning experiences of physical education specialist studies generated by students to expand and refine their skills in their pedagogical repertoire. In ED4493 students are required to draw on their discipline and curriculum knowledge and skills to plan innovative learning experiences for students, apply technology in an engaging and learning-oriented manner, develop pedagogical initiatives that support learning in and beyond the official physical education curriculum, and develop assessment items and make judgements of student work that are well-grounded in the field of physical education.
