In this subject students will investigate the history, theory and philosophy of curatorial practice. In addition students will learn the skills required to curate exhibitions including media releases, catalogue essays, exhibition design, lighting and sales. Strategies for the confident selection of artwork based on a soundly presented rationale will be prioritised, while the care, storage and handling of art works will also be discussed. Students will undertake project-based work in a field of curatorial practice.
