This subject introduces mobile technologies and applications for individuals, organisations, and communities. The topics covered include mobile programming, mobile user interfaces, wireless communications, location aware applications, and current technological trends in mobile business and innovations.
Learning Outcomes
- Experience programming mobile devices with an appreciation of the inherent software and hardware limitations of mobile devices;
- Understand the important features and functionality of mobile devices such as location awareness, wireless communications, user interfaces, and interaction design;
- Gain practical experience using current APIs, toolkits, and platforms;
- Develop an appreciation of contemporary and emerging mobile technology and related innovations;
- Demonstrate practical knowledge of deploying software on mobile devices.
