Horror cinema has always been one of the most successful and innovative genres in cinema, and its importance has increased over recent years. This subject explores the historical development of Horror and related genres in the cinema. It offers students the means to analyse these important areas of cinema with theoretical depth and sophistication, while relating them to social and cultural dynamics.
