In this subject students will undertake a detailed examination of the current landscape in which Treasury Management operates and also review the controversial issues following the global financial crisis. The onset of the GFC has prompted the installation of rigid regulation affecting the way banks and other institutions do business. Regulations and the impact this has on liquidity, and market volatility is also examined. Students will also examine how banks use Funds Transfer Pricing, and ways banks have begun to deleverage their balance sheets.
