The law relating to partnerships and companies. This subject is compulsory for students wishing to satisfy professional accreditation requirements in the Bachelor of Business (Accounting).

Learning Outcomes

• determine the legal obligations of company controllers;
• determine the legal rights and obligations of persons operating partnerships;
• explain the legal requirements relating to the set up and operation of a company;
• explain the methods of terminating a company;
• inform dissatisfied shareholders and other persons dealing with a company of their legal rights and forms of redress.
