This subject is only available to students who are completing the final year of a Bachelor of Social Science. This social science 'capstone' subject provides integrated learning opportunities for students to reflect upon, consolidate and integrate the knowledge and research skills gained during the degree. The subject also prepares students for future work as social scientists by offering them 'authentic' research projects related to social life in the tropics. Students look back over their undergraduate curriculum and prepare for careers in a changing global environment. The subject is not only reflective and integrative, but also future-focused, offering opportunities for 'real world' preparatory experience in social science research work.
