Registered Australian Physiotherapist. Completion of an overseas recognised physiotherapy qualification. Completion of this subject within the degree Masters of Rehabilitation (Physiotherapy) will not enable Australian registration of overseas qualified physiotherapists.

Public and private sector physiotherapists as first contact practitioners, commonly treat patients with chronic conditions, which may be of musculo-skeletal, cardio-respiratory or neurological origin. Frequently the presentation and management is complex due to co-morbidities. This subject is designed to focus on a range of chronic conditions using the principles of chronic disease management to underpin student learning. Students will apply this knowledge to develop a rehabilitation project specific to the context of their clinical practice.
