PS2005 - Physiotherapy Applications Across the Lifespan

Enrolment is restricted to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy who have successfully completed BM1041, PS1001, RH1002, RH1004, BM1042, HS1003, PS1002 and PS2004.

This subject is designed to enable students to assess clients, and develop and implement physiotherapy intervention strategies for common conditions encountered across the lifespan. Continuity, change and the effect of injury and pathology are considered with respect to paediatrics, men's and women's health, health in the workplace, chronic disease, gerontology and palliative care.

Assessment:end of semester exam (60%); presentations (20%); assignments (20%).
Special Assessment Requirements:To pass this subject students are required to pass the end of semester examination, complete an organised clinical placement, maintain a clinical logbook and submit ePortfolio items as described in the subject outline. No marks are allotted to the clinical placement, clinical logbook or ePortfolio items.
