In this subject students will obtain advanced knowledge and training in literature searching and reviewing. The review should be related to their area of specialisation and be a systematic search and critical appraisal of the objectives, methodologies and results of previous research. Students will create bibliographic databases and present all the research in tables with summaries and rationale for inclusion and exclusion.
Learning Outcomes
- synthesise a well-structured, concise but comprehensive review of the above appraised literature;
- create and execute a literature searching plan relevant to the students area of specialisation with identification of appropriate keywords, databases and delimiters;
- critically appraise selected literature using a systematic tool relevant to the students area of specialisation.
