This subject heightens vocal, movement, acting or production skills for live text-based performance. Students work as actors with a substantial text to sustain characterisation or undertake a major production role in a directed contemporary play for public presentation. Acting students will also undertake a minor production role eg production/stage manager, marketing, lighting, sound, props, set, costume design, devised multimedia/video production.
Learning Outcomes
- apply performance or production skills to a substantial text;
- apply theoretical paradigms in a production role for public performance;
- analyse and document the performer or production contribution to the performance process.
