In this subject students will work in a collaborative environment to create an interactive multimedia application with advanced new media functionalities. This project will use a media rich approach, a variety of software applications encompassing 2D computer graphics, computer animation techniques, and digital audio. Advanced navigation concepts and original interactive new media applications will be studied as exemplars of good practice. Creative-strategic design concepts will be examined in context of contemporary issues of web culture and technologies.
Learning Outcomes
- ability to construct advanced multimedia products that effectively communicate visual, aural and textual aesthetics in an interactive context;
- ability to conduct collaborative projects using web based technologies;
- ability to integrate efficiently and effectively a range of media- image, text, graphic into new media projects;
- ability to engage in collaborative and team-based projects demonstrated high levels of professional autonomy and inter personal skill sets and understanding of contemporary issues related to interactive project development and commercial settings.
