This subject provides students with strategies and pathways to develop an understanding of and connections with the creative arts industries. An understanding of the creative arts industries is achieved through research and investigation strategies in order to develop global understandings of such areas as funding streams, valuation strategies, grant writing, employment structures and career opportunities. Connection with creative arts industries is achieved via the study of a range of topic areas including personal and professional promotion and development strategies, business case studies and investigations, and personal/career reflections.
Learning Outcomes
- advanced level of knowledge of contemporary creative arts industry issues;
- indepth understandings relevant to the current state of events driving the creative industries sector;
- self promotion and self marketing skills.
