Students are introduced to a range of digital sound technologies and contexts in which these are applied. Music, film and multimedia contexts are examined, with a range of online tutorials providing practical grounding in the use of sound with text and image in the digital realm.
Learning Outcomes
- understanding of the range of contexts in which digital sound is utilised;
- knowledge of industry standard hardware and software systems;
- knowledge of the use of digital sound technologies in specific contexts of music, film and multimedia;
- practical knowledge of the combinations of digital sound with text and image.
