This subject introduces students to the principles of digital image capture and looks to develop an understanding of composition, visualisation, the role of light and shadow and exposure in the creation of visual form and texture. Reflexive expression and reinforcement will occur through the adoption of a range of applied and theoretical creative digital imaging investigations. Foundation digital imaging practices centred on acquisition and output will be established. Students will also develop an understanding of the principles and theories of digital imaging and manipulation and gain experience in the operation of software used in the digital image manipulation process.
