This subject is available to Graduate Diploma of Health Professional Education and Master of Health Professional Education only or by permission of the Head of School. This subject will be offered for the first time in Study Period 1 2013 and will also be avialable in Study Period 2 2013.
Students will be able to rationalise reasons for evidence based health education practice. The importance of ethics in evidence-based health education will be discussed.
Learning Outcomes
- Discuss the reasons for evidence in professional practice;
- Explain what is evidence in health professional education research;
- Evaluate ethical conduct in health professional education research;
- Discuss philosophical, economical, organisational and political influences on health professional education;
- Identify best evidence in health professional education.
