Available to students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Health Professional Education or by permission of the Subject or Course Coordinator or Head of School.
This subject provides an opportunity for registered health professionals to develop and formalise their teaching skills specifically related to consultation and communication skills between health professional and patient. The subject focuses on the use of experiential learning methods. It is available off-campus on a part-time basis in the mode of flexible delivery with some group work.
Learning Outcomes
- Discuss a range of innovative learning approaches suitable for health professional education;
- Describe approaches for innovative clinical assessment in the health professions;
- Apply the principles of Interprofessional Education;
- Design and assess an innovative learning opportunity for learners in the health professions;
- Communicate the outcomes of learning innovation in health professional education.
