This subject teaches students when and how to write a successful research proposal. Subject material includes the function of the research proposal, components of a research proposal and the different types of research proposal required for different purposes. Students will learn how to assess the quality of research proposals, and will be able to use these standards as a benchmark for their future work.
Learning Outcomes
- identify the main types of research proposals;
- characterise each section of a research proposal;
- synthesise the principles of ethical research and the development of a research proposal;
- critique a range of research proposals.
