This subject examines the relationship between people, their settlements, economics and societies, and the environment, through the concepts, theories and methods of human geography. Society and environment relationships are examined at a variety of scales from the community to the global. Sustainable use of resources and issues of distribution and social justice are emphasised. Students will learn foundation geographical research skills that contribute to subsequent environmental science or geography subjects.
