ED5914 is offered in external mode and all tasks must be negotiated with the subject coordinator. This subject is available to all students who possess a relevant undergraduate degree or diploma approved by the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Faculty of Arts, Education and Social Sciences.

ED5914 comprises an individual project which encourages an action-oriented approach to sustainability education, co-operative learning and/or communication. You will work with university staff and work-based professionals or community leaders to develop a project that can be used in a formal and/or informal setting to foster at least one aspect sustainable behaviour or sustainability action. The project (a) must be sustainability-focused; (b) must concern an aspect of education, co-operative learning and/or communication; (c) must happen; and (d) involves you in creative leadership. ED5914 is an AQF level 9 subject that aims to consolidate your knowledge of socio-ecological systems and processes as you undertake 130 hours of sustainability education, co-operative learning and/or communication in practice.
