This subject extends and deepens student knowledge and competencies with core counselling micro skills developed in ED5863 Foundations of Counselling Practice. The integration of the microskills hierarchy from different theoretical and multicultural perspectives will be explored. Ethical responsibilities within the counselling profession will be addressed.
Learning Outcomes
- to further develop and demonstrate competence with the microskills hierarchy;
- to apply the microskills hierarchy from different theoretical and multicultural perspectives;
- to demonstrate knowledge of the counsellor's ethical responsibilities in the counselling profession.
