Students must enrol in ED4090 or ED4190 or ED4293 in the same study period as ED4488. External offerings available only to ECE ONLINE students. Enrolment in Study Period 2 offerings is at the discretion of the Director, Professional Experience. Students must enrol in ED4090 or ED4190 or ED4293 in the same study period as ED4488. (Professional Experience: The process of placing students for professional experience begins the year prior to placement. Transferring students or out-of-step students must notify the Professional Experience Unit on the relevant campus at the beginning of Semester 2 of the year prior to the professional experience placement.)
This subject is part of the developmental curriculum for Professional Experience within the Bachelor of Education program. Students will complete 5 (five) days of professional orientation which may include engaging in whole group visits to education settings and seminars with education leaders. All students will be placed in a school and attend for 20 allocated days, completing a range of activities to develop an understanding of the complexities of teachers roles.
