An advanced course in the petrology, mineralogy and geochemistry of igneous rocks. The subject provides an overview of petrological processes in magmatic environments with thermodynamic and geochemical tools. The subject material also covers various magmatic association on Earth and their relation to plate tectonics and the evolution of the Earth
