This subject will introduce students to the ways in which organisations and businesses use the Internet and emerging technologies in business activities. Concepts and features of e-business and m-business technologies will be presented. The nature of core e-business and m-business activities will be discussed. Topics covered are technology infrastructure, business models, security challenges, legal and ethical issues, trends, and case studies for e-business/m-business.

Students are expected to understand the basics of computer hardware and software, as well as understand the fundamental concepts in data communications and the Internet.
