This subject is focused on accounting information primarily from an operations perspective relevant to managers in their daily activities. This includes consideration of concepts and techniques relevant to providing accounting and related data for management planning, control and decision making.

Learning Outcomes

• describe, evaluate and demonstrate the technical skills necessary to problem solve in the areas of product costing; cost behaviour; cost volume profit analysis; budgeting; and performance analysis;
• explain the uses and limitations of cost data for planning operations; controlling activities; and decision making.
