In addition to meeting the requirement to have completed a minimum of 36 credit points of BU or BX subjects and enrolled in your last year of your course, students wishing to undertake the multi-disciplinary subject must access the Multi-Disciplinary subject application form in the School of Business Work Group located on Career Hub. The Work Group for this subject is located on Career Hub https://careerhub.jcu.edu.au. Use your jc user name and password to log onto the site. The Work Group you are enrolled in will be listed on the left hand column of the Career Hub Home page under Appointments and ePortfolio. Further information about this subject is located on this site including possible multi-disciplinary projects. This process only applies to students enrolled on the Townsville or Cairns campus.
The FLBCA multi-disciplinary subject enables final year students from law, business, information technology and creative arts disciplines to work together to design, implement, and evaluate a real life project sourced primarily from industry partner organisations. Identification of suitable student projects occurs through collaboration between faculty and industry partner organisations and / or students.
Learning Outcomes
- apply classroom knowledge and skills gained throughout the degree to solve complex and real world industry issues and produce a large scaled project outcome;
- demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively, in particular in a cross-discipline team and where required to effectively manage and lead a team;
- evaluate the complexity of working across different discipline areas and contrast and evaluate the relationships between various sectors of professional industry;
- identify and evaluate action learning opportunities and self-improvements.
