This subject will provide students with the opportunity to experience the various roles and responsibilities of exercise physiologists in the treatment, management and care of individuals with cardiopulmonary and metabolic conditions. This subject will provide students with experience in designing, facilitating and evaluating clinical exercise programs; in using equipment and facilities associated with clinical assessing and exercise prescription; and will provide exposure to the roles of exercise physiologists and other medical and allied health professionals in the prevention, treatment and management of cardiopulmonary and metabolic conditions.

    Special Assessment Requirements:Students must attend 180 hours of clinical placement activities covering cardiopulmonary and metabolic conditions, receive satisfactory supervisor report for the 180 hours of clinical placement and satisfactorily complete the written report and log book.
