The subject introduces students to professional issues relevant to working as a sport and exercise science practitioner. The student is provided with an extended opportunity to apply classroom learned knowledge and skills. It provides experience in the communication and therapeutic micro skills necessary to work effectively with a client. Topics include client induction, interviewing, history taking, and program planning. Issues of client reluctance and resistance will also be addressed. Other topics will include professional development and communication, ethics and legal considerations
