This subject is focussed on the challenges associated with the provision of nursing care in rural and remote communities.
Learning Outcomes
- describe the role of the nurse in the preparation and planning of care for patients in rural and remote Australia;
- demonstrate an understanding of the importance of utilising appropriate clinical assessment knowledge as a rural or remote nurse in Australia;
- demonstrate appropriate interventions/care in nursing practice within a rural or remote Australian community;
- identify information and communication technology used in rural or remote areas of Australia;
- describe the role of a rural or remote nurse in a multidisciplinary team.
