This subject aims to provide nursing students with a broad introduction to the many different specialty areas of nursing practice in Northern Australia.
Learning Outcomes
- describe the role of the nurse in a multidisciplinary team;
- describe the role of the nurse in the preparatoin and planning of care for patients in speciality areas;
- demonstrate an understanding of the importance of utilising appropriate clinical assessment knowledge within a speciality area;
- demonstrate appropriate interventions/care in nursing practice within a speciality area;
- identify information and communication technology used in speciality areas.
