Available to students with foundation capture skills

In this subject students extend their skills in the area of studio photography with an emphasis on contemporary digital capture and processing. Students gain specific skills in lighting and directing the subject and explore advanced digital capture and workflow. Students are encouraged to experiment and innovate, in terms of content and form, while acquiring skills to prepare them for the professional working environment. Students are required to submit three assignments, some of which are team projects and a final folio of individual, self-directed work which are finished to a high standard of presentation ready for inclusion in their portfolio. Each project contains a research component, requiring students to research aspects of contemporary and historical studio practice and submit a written evaluation.
