This subject provides students with the opportunity to pursue advanced study in corporate law. Coverage includes corporate finance (including debt and equity finance, securities and regulation of fund raising activities)and corporate control transactions (includng takeovers, reorganisations, schemes of arrangement and compromises, self-acquisition, reduction of capital and restrictions on financial assistance).
Learning Outcomes
- describe options for corporate fundraising, provision of securities, dealing with securities and regulation of fundraising activities;
- describe corporate control transactions (including takeovers, reorganisations, amalagations, schemes of arrangements, compromises, self-acquisitions, reductions of capital and restrictions on provision of financial assistance).
