Students will explore models of leadership and categories of scholarship and its application in diverse educational practice settings. The challenges of political influence affecting educational leadership will be explored.
Learning Outcomes
- Define educational scholarship;
- Outline the categories of scholarship;
- Discuss the qualities of an educational leader;
- Discuss the roles of health educators as leaders;
- Outline the issues that educational leaders may encounter in a political leadership context.

- The ability to lead, manage and contribute effectively to teams;
- The ability to work with people of different gender, age, ethnicity, culture, religion and political persuasion;
- The ability to conceptualise and evaluate a range of potential solutions to relevant problems;
