This subject will introduce and develop skills in designing, conducting, interpreting and reporting on assessment protocols within a legal and ethical framework. Both qualitative and quantitative assessment techniques will be explored with an emphasis upon the behavioural and cognitive evaluation of individuals typically referred for This subject will introduce and develop skills in designing, conducting, interpreting and reporting on assessment protocols within a legal and ethical framework. Both qualitative and quantitative assessment techniques will be explored with an emphasis upon the behavioural and cognitive evaluation of individuals typically referred for guidance and counselling. To enable targeted study this subject offers streams in four age points; older adult, younger adult, adolescent, and childhood.
Learning Outcomes
- to critically reflect on counselling assessment systems, protocols, practices, processes, and techniques;
- to interpret and integrate quanitative and qualitative assessment data in case reports.
