Development of a proposal for a small scale research project involving gathering data, or a critical review and synthesis of literature, relating to an approved education topic. The proposal should be approximately 2,000 words; it should clearly define a topic, provide a rationale, set the proposed research in context of appropriate literature, outline methods for generating, gathering and/or analysing research data and discuss methodological issues associated with those methods, and should be accompanied by relevant applications for approval to conduct the research.
Learning Outcomes

- capacity to identify appropriate methods for investigating the topic, issue or research questions and understanding of issues associated with the use of those methods to investigate the topic, issue or questions.
